Conrad Cornelison, principal bassoon of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, brings his warm, resonant tone and refined musicality to the ensemble. Pianist Shuyu Lin provides sensitive accompaniment and virtuosic color, creating a seamless dialogue with the winds. Featured guest Xiaodi Liu on oboe adds luminous, singing lines and spirited interplay, completing a trio of distinctive timbres.
